Treating and preventing HIV

By the time you’ve finished reading this, another child will have died from AIDS. By the end of the day, over 1,000 children will be newly infected with HIV.

HIV and AIDS is also robbing the childhoods of 17.5 million orphaned children, as they’re forced to take on the responsibilities of the parents they have lost.

These statistics will only multiply if we don’t act now.

That’s why we’re providing treatment, counselling and  support for mothers, babies and vulnerable children affected by HIV and AIDS. We’re also working to prevent HIV by supporting education programmes in schools and communities.

Meet Malekena and her baby Mankhube and find out how you can help babies like her be born free from HIV.

You can help achieve an AIDS-free generation and protect children affected now. Give a monthly donation today to save lives, protect childhoods and give children the chance to go to school in communities affected by HIV and AIDS and wherever else children need us.
