2011 flood crisis in Pakistan
Islamabad, 11 September 2011 – Heavy monsoon rains and floods are affecting at least five million people across Pakistan, of these up to 2.5 million are children. Many are still recovering from the worst floods in the country’s history in August 2010. Please donate now to support UNICEF's short and long-term programs. Families have had to abandon their homes and many don't have access to clean water and sanitation. Children are now vulnerable to life-threatening waterborne diseases like diarrhoea. We are on the ground across Pakistan providing clean water for over 40,000 people a day, sanitation, food and health care to protect children. But we need your help so we can reach every child who needs us. Please donate now. |
