2011 flood crisis in Pakistan

Heavy monsoon rains and floods in 2011 affected at least five million people across Pakistan, of these up to 2.5 million are children. Many were still recovering from the worst floods in the country’s history in August 2010. Please donate now to support UNICEF's short and long-term programs.

Families had to abandon their homes and many don't have access to clean water and sanitation. Children were vulnerable to life-threatening waterborne diseases like diarrhoea.

We are still on the ground across Pakistan providing clean water for over 40,000 people a day, sanitation, food and health care to protect children. But we need your help so we can reach every child who needs us. Please donate now.
